2021 Homecoming T-shirt Sales/Registration

Get ready–homecoming is on its way! 2021 Homecoming T-shirts, A Nightmare on Kettering Drive, will be pre-sold at registration on August 18, 2021, for $10 each. Shirts will also be sold during all lunches beginning Monday, September 27.  Please see the designs below. Student Council sends a big thanks to Naomi Black, this year’s homecoming artist. Black competed in a contest to complete this year’s designs–the main logos represented on the shirts and ticket.

Summer AP Resources for Students

We want our students engaged in reading over summer! Visit our summer reading website and gain access to information about our new program, Sweet Reads as well as tools/resources to guide your summer reading practices to keep reading fresh.

Are you are enrolled in one or more advanced placement courses for fall? Make sure you are up to date with summer coursework. Resources for each course are available on this summer reading website. These documents contain summer-specific work for AP courses taught at both Kettering and Mott High Schools. Students who need copies of this documentation will have access to the materials until early September.

4th Annual Color Blast 5K!

Color Blast Background AdKettering Student Council and Leadership teams present our 4th Annual Charity Color Blast 5K event at Hess Hathaway Park, Saturday, May 19, 2018, beginning at 10:15am. Registration will begin at 9:00am. We look forward to sharing in this great event with our community.

Homecoming Theme is A Night in New York; each class has a designated sub-theme:

  • Seniors: Broadway
  • Juniors: Statue of Liberty
  • Sophomores: Times Square
  • Freshmen: Coney Island

    Dress Days:

    • Monday, October 16: Celebrity Day
    • Tuesday, October 17: Class Color
    • Wednesday, October 18: Sports/PowderPuff Day
    • Thursday, October 19: Generation Gap Day
    • Friday, October 20: Green/White

Calendar/Timeline

  • Homecoming Dance is Saturday, October 21, 6:30-10:00pm.
  • Homecoming Dance tickets will go on sale Monday 10/9, during all lunches; ticket price $20.00
  • Homecoming shirts will go on sale Monday, 10/9, during all lunches; shirts are $10 each
  • Captains’ Cookout Pre-Game dinner is on Friday, 10/20, 4:00-5:45pm; $5.00 admission and includes Sub, chips, chili and pop

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
We need parent volunteers in the following areas:

  • Powder Puff Assistance (10/18)
  • Golf Cart Decorating (10/19) 2:00-4:00pm
  • Dinner Volunteer (10/20) – 3:15 pm—dinner begins at 4:00-5:45pm
  • Hall Decorating (10/13) – 2:30pm-8:00pm
  • Parade Help (10/20) 5:30pm
  • Dance Decorating Volunteers (10/20) – a few adults helping during the game, the remainder after the game
  • Dance Check-In Volunteers (10/21) -6:10pm—doors open at 6:30pm
  • Coat Check (10/21) – 6:10pm—doors open at 6:30pm
  • Refreshments (10/21) – 5:15pm
  • Clean-up (10/21) – 9:30pm

**All volunteers must have a current Volunteer Affidavit on file.  A blank form is on the next page.  Just email it to the address above or drop it by the main office.  If you think that you have one on file, please contact me at the address above and I can check it for you.**

SEEKING DONATIONS:
In order to keep our students hydrated and to give them the energy to continue dancing for the duration of the Homecoming Dance, we are now accepting donation of snacks and beverages.

Suggested items for donation would be:

  • Any peanut free candy
  • Goldfish
  • Peanut free granola bars
  • Variety packs of chips or pretzels
  • Bottled water
  • Cans of soda or juice

All donations should be packaged for individual use.

Donations may be brought to the main office between the hours of 7am and 3pm.
