Get ready–homecoming is on its way! 2021 Homecoming T-shirts, A Nightmare on Kettering Drive, will be pre-sold at registration on August 18, 2021, for $10 each. Shirts will also be sold during all lunches beginning Monday, September 27.  Please see the designs below. Student Council sends a big thanks to Naomi Black, this year’s homecoming artist. Black competed in a contest to complete this year’s designs–the main logos represented on the shirts and ticket.

Summer AP Resources for Students

We want our students engaged in reading over summer! Visit our summer reading website and gain access to information about our new program, Sweet Reads as well as tools/resources to guide your summer reading practices to keep reading fresh.

Are you are enrolled in one or more advanced placement courses for fall? Make sure you are up to date with summer coursework. Resources for each course are available on this summer reading website. These documents contain summer-specific work for AP courses taught at both Kettering and Mott High Schools. Students who need copies of this documentation will have access to the materials until early September.

Jessica Mercier Signs National Letter of Intent

Waterford Kettering standout student-athlete, Jessica Mercier, has signed her National Letter of Intent to run Track and Pole Vault at the University of Michigan for the 2018-2019 school year. Throughout her time at Waterford Kettering, Jessica has not only been a phenomenal athlete, but also an active member of the school community. She prides herself on supporting her school, and achieving high standards in academics. She is a member of a very successful chamber Choir, National Honor Society and the Tri-M Music Honor Society while maintaining a 4.06 GPA taking numerous advanced courses. Congratulations Jessica and best of luck to you at University of Michigan.

Student Volunteers Wanted

The Waterford Coalition for Youth is looking for student volunteers to support the 10th annual movies under the moonlight that will be held at Pierce Middle School on Friday, June 22 from 3 p.m. until 11 p.m. Help is needed with concessions, inflatables, obstacle course, face painting, arts and crafts, etc. Dinner will be provided and you will earn community service hours.  For further information, contact the Waterford Coalition for Youth at (248) 618-7424.
